Teresa soon realizes that this locket is aiding Jewel in slowly recalling her memories of the past – her childhood, her mischievous adolescence, her husband, and her dysfunctional relationship with her older brother, Magnus Ouyang, whom she believes forged their deceased father, Jasper Ouyang's, last will and testament in order to keep her out of the inheritance. Jewel seeks out vengeance and retribution as she later faces Magnus in court.
