Ben and Seb become friends while taking a course taught by an artist they both admire. Seb falls in love with the artist and tries unsuccessfully to express his feelings to her. Meanwhile, Ben must decide whether to return to his homeland to help his sister Jasmine care for their aging father. Letty and Stanley, two other students, struggle to define their relationships and ambitions. The story is told through a series of whimsical episodes in a minimalist visual style.
